Overall it is a fair model
By Baffi Henry March 16, 2019 16:04I was unsure about ordering this model. With deathguard imperfections can be hidden and overall do not detract from the model.
The model was shipped in time.
The treads were mostly straight and only required a little hot water to fix. Tracks A-F were all there. No issues.
Hull parts. The front, top, bottom , and back were all in good shape. There was a small amount of shrinkage but overall the parts fit without issue.
Left and right track unit. This is where it gave me trouble. There was some shrinkage and warping on the interior facing units. The warping caused there to be some substantial gaps with the hull parts not mounting flush. The area where the tracks attach to the front left and right units required a lot of cleaning. Where they attached to the sprue was in the channel quite awkward to work with.
Left and right sponsons fit pretty easily with only some minor gaps showing which can be filled.. There line up even with the body. The turrets were overall clean and required little cleaning. Las cannons needed straightening.
All the other little piece had no warping and fit without issue.
All the pieces that had issues were ones that were composed of a darker color resin.
Hope this helps. -
