    Bought this as my first purchase as I hear good things about this site. after two weeks of not hearing anything i had to e-mail and surprise surprise my order was going out the day i asked. two weeks later as you would expect it arrived with a tracking number. Model arrived was completely un useable. both side plates are so warped they wont even fit to the side and the treads cant even fit in the gaps, two parts of the model were already snapped as they were cast so thin, a few mould lines but nothing some filing wont fix, many lumps and holes on the smooth surfaces that would require hours of work filling and filing down.

    I sent an e-mail with photo evidence and asking for another model or something of equal value they just said "its not a problem use a hair dryer to fix it"

    Could not advise stronger stay away from this site.

      plenty of reviews for this model, decided to throw in my 5 cents aswel.

      generally this is a great buy. all the parts come in ziplock bags covered in bubblewrap.

      all the smaller parts are fine.


      the issue is the lower hull plate, the upper hull and one of the sides.
      the upper hull and side plate have only slight warping. just a tiny bit too much for me to glue it on warped.
      the bottom plate however stands up on its sides and without fixing wont fit on the model

      this can all be fixed with some hot water or a hair blower. but its some additional work.

      overal, if i need more (deimos)rhino i would buy them for this price.

        After putting it together its a mess. everything is warped.

        took me 4 hours to assemble and fix a rhino which i normally do in 1 hour. required filling up some gaps left by the warped parts.

        in the end i give it 2 stars. upclose or for display its looks like a mess.
        if you use it on the table with some others around it, it looks decent.

        Read the reviews, decided to grab one anyways because it's half the price of a regular rhino, and I wanted a vehicle to display with a squad of marines I've painted. Didn't even want the Deimos conversion, but hey, I've got some cool bits now.

        Overall, you get what you pay for. As many others mention, most of the kits from this site are fantastic, even more so for the price. I'd also like to mention, I have assembled a Predator from GW, so I'm comparing quality/assembly to that. The largest issue for me was the dozer blade (I believe that's what it's called? The pointy ram bar looking part.) It seemed to have been cast from poor quality resin, and a mold that was squeezed too tight; the part is so rough I'd rather scratch build one from plasticard. As mentioned, I'm not using the Deimos parts, but they're a little rough around the edges as well; though nothing some TLC can't fix from my quick inspection.

        Pros:
        Parts were packaged very well.
        Parts fit snug as they should, save for warped/miss-cast pieces
        Decent value if you want a standard rhino, more so for the Deimos variant.

        Cons:
        The main top hull has some warping, but nothing some patience and resourcefulness can't fix.
        Most parts needed moderate to severe clean-up; nothing where the fit was affected though.
        Depending on how much you value your time, might be worth grabbing this from the source, there's a lot of cleanup involved.

        I will say there are different aspects of this kit I would rate differently:

        Value 4/5
        Fit 4/5
        Cast issue/cleanup required 2/5
        Deimos parts 3/5

        Overall not terrible, I certainly don't feel like my money was wasted. Would honestly probably buy another, but have yet to prime/paint the model so we'll see if all the restoration work and time was worth it.

          This kit is a standard rhino kit with all the pieces, plus the couple overlay pieces for the sides / different front. The problem is the side pieces are undersized so that have to be forced on and can crack easily, but the doors aren't so they had to be cut down to fit in the holes. Overall the main pieces were very warped and the thickness throughout each piece was inconsistent which resulted in a lot of cleanup work to get the kit together. If you purchase - be aware this one will take a lot of work.

            Nearly all the primary rhino pieces were warped beyond salvage. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this particular item.

              The cast is pretty warped, with some parts being too small to even fit as they should. It wouldn't be so bad if the rhino kit you got with it wasn't warped resin too, because then you would have a plastic frame to stretch / align too. I probably will order some plastic rhinos elsewhere, and salvage the "Deimos" parts that way, and use these resin rhino parts for terrain. Most other things here are worth it, this one not so much.

                First order from here- wasn’t perfect, took a little bit of work to get together but overall a pretty good kit. Honestly didn’t feel like it was any lesser quality than FW- and for this price I can hardly complain.

                  I was a little reluctant to get this recast after reading the single review on it but I took the plunge and I have to say it was excellent. a very slight bend on the foot plate underneath one door but nothing a little heat and bending won't fix. An outstanding cast.

                    I order a fair bit from here and this is the first kit i've been disappointed in. Every bit is warped and cracked.

                    Guess i've got busted up rhino bits to go on a base now.
